What you can pay for
Each bill is one wallet debit + one audit row.

YESOPay’s airtime VAS fires. Two-second confirmation. “Airtime sent. Balance: ₦47,000.”For data:
Which network? MTN, GLO, Airtel, 9Mobile?
MTN
Here are MTN plans (live from network): 1. ₦100 — 75MB, 24h 2. ₦500 — 750MB, 7d 3. ₦1,500 — 4.5GB, 30d 4. ₦3,500 — 11GB, 30d Reply with the number. The plans come from OPay’s live network catalogue so the list is whatever’s actually available right now. You pick. We confirm. We charge. Data lands on the phone. For electricity, we ask for the meter number first, verify it against the disco through OPay’s meter-lookup service, then charge.
Buying on a customer’s behalf
This is the use case most traders care about. Mama Bisi runs the provisions stall, but customers often ask her to top up airtime for them while they’re paying for garri. She used to walk to the kiosk down the road; now she does it from her phone in fifteen seconds. Two ways to handle the money. Add it to their tab (informal credit, no audit trail): The customer pays you cash plus the airtime amount. You buy the airtime from your wallet. Your wallet float keeps the running total. Standard trader behaviour, just digital. Have them transfer to your virtual account first: The customer transfers, say, ₦5,500 (₦5,000 for garri + ₦500 for airtime + a tiny convenience charge if you add one). The inflow lands in your wallet. You buy the airtime. Both transactions sit in the ledger — clean, auditable, no math confusion. This second pattern is what we recommend for higher amounts (electricity tokens, large data bundles). The audit trail protects everyone if the customer later disputes.Wallet balance, meet bill price
Bills only fire if your wallet has the balance. We don’t extend credit at v1 (that’s roadmap — and when it ships, it’ll come through the partner-lender rail, not a Guild line of credit). If your wallet is short, we tell you:Balance ₦400 not enough for ₦500 airtime. Top up your wallet or pick a smaller amount. You can top up from a linked bank (direct debit), from a bank transfer to your virtual account, or by accepting a customer payment that lands in your wallet.
What it costs
Same naira amount OPay charges us, passed through to you. No markup at v1. If we introduce a small convenience fee in v2, we’ll surface it in the confirmation screen before you confirm — never a hidden charge.Reconciling
Every bill payment is a row in your transaction history. You see them in your daily summary, in the wallet transaction list, and in your downloadable monthly report (web dashboard,guild.com.ng/reports).
When a bill fails — usually because the network or disco rejected the transaction — the wallet debit reverses inside a few minutes and you see a REFUNDED row. We notify you by SMS. No money lost.
Standing implications
Bill payments don’t push your standing tier up much. They’re convenience features, not signals of business activity. What does matter for standing: the wallet inflows that fund the bills. Take more customer transfers, build the velocity, and bills become an everyday flow underneath a healthy tier — not a substitute for actual business activity.Next
Sales velocity
The signal that actually moves your tier.
